capital and uf- Capital name and Brazilian state code.
perfil- One person, couple, couple with one child or couple with two children.
regiao- Central or outer-area reference used by the model.
aluguel_estimado- Price per m² × profile area × location factor.
mercado_estimado- Local basic food basket adjusted to household size.
transporte_estimado- Fare × monthly trips × location factor.
outros_estimados- Standardized household bills and recurring expenses.
total_estimado- Rounded sum of the four monthly components.
How to use estimates without treating them as certainty
The dataset was built for screening and comparison. It helps identify meaningful differences before detailed research, but it does not measure every neighborhood, contract, school, health plan or lifestyle.
Use at least the ±12% guidance range and replace rent, transport and grocery figures with your own numbers before making a move.
Origin, updates and responsibility
Population, food baskets and inflation rely on public or institutional sources. Rent and transport combine indexes, local authorities and market references. Monthly totals are an editorial model by Custo Real Brasil.
The dataset is reviewed quarterly and when a relevant source changes. History, formulas and limitations are documented in the methodology. The file may be used for personal analysis; republication and commercial use follow the Terms of Use.
