Purpose and audience
Custo Real Brasil creates educational content for people who need to understand costs, compare scenarios and organize everyday financial decisions in Brazil.
We do not provide individualized investment, credit, tax or legal recommendations. Calculators and tables are starting points, not substitutes for professional advice.
Source hierarchy
We prioritize public agencies, regulators, research institutes and official documentation. When a local figure has no consolidated public series, we may use institutional or market references and disclose that limitation.
Origin links, reference periods and publishers are shown whenever they support relevant external figures.
Our calculations and estimates
Formulas, factors and assumptions are documented on the methodology page. Our results are identified as estimates and are not presented as official statistics.
We avoid false precision: values may be rounded and accompanied by guidance ranges. A city or national average does not replace neighborhood, household or contract research.
Publication, review and updates
Content is checked for coherence, clarity, links, formulas and consistency with cited sources before it is considered ready. Material changes receive a new update date.
Recurring datasets follow the schedule shown in the methodology. Fare, rule or official-series changes can trigger an earlier review.
Data-derived pages
Capital pages are built from one maintained dataset so the main table, comparator and local pages do not disagree. This does not replace editorial review: the dataset, formulas, model wording and a representative sample of rendered pages are checked before each release.
A data-derived page remains published only when it provides local values, a budget breakdown, comparative context, limitations, sources and a useful next action. Highly similar auxiliary pages do not receive ads and may be excluded from indexing.
Translations and supporting tools
Digital tools may support organization, calculations and translation. Responsibility for sources, formulas, limitations and published wording remains with Custo Real Brasil.
Other-language versions preserve the meaning of Brazilian content and explain local terms when a literal translation would be insufficient.
Corrections and reader participation
Confirmed calculation, source, link or translation errors are corrected. Relevant changes enter the methodology history or receive a new content update date.
Readers can report a correction through the contact form, preferably including the affected URL, questioned passage and a verifiable source.
Advertising and independence
Advertising helps fund the project, but it does not buy ranking positions, favorable mentions or formula changes.
