How to calculate a 3D printing price
The calculation starts with material: part weight divided by 1,000 and multiplied by the price per kilogram. Then add energy, packaging and human time for support removal, sanding, cleaning, painting, checking dimensions and preparing shipment.
A part weighing 85 g with filament at R$95/kg consumes about R$8.08 in material. If the printer runs for six hours, energy should also appear in the calculation, even when it looks small.
