Brazil CDI and Selic return calculator
Simulate how much an investment may return with a manual annual rate, monthly contributions, income tax and estimated monthly cost.
How the simulation works
The annual rate is converted into an equivalent monthly rate. Each month, the calculator adds the contribution, applies the estimated return and subtracts the monthly fee when present. At the end, it applies tax to positive gains.
The goal is to compare scenarios: higher contributions, longer terms, lower fees or different returns. The manual rate lets you compare the current benchmark with more conservative or aggressive scenarios without mixing products, terms and costs. Since August 6, 2026, the Selic target has been 14.00% a year. As of August 7, the Central Bank's daily series listed DI/CDI at 13.90% a year, so the example uses 13.90%; you can change the field.
How to calculate 100% or 110% of CDI
For 100% of CDI, enter the annual CDI rate as the annual return. For 110% of CDI, multiply the rate by 1.10: with CDI at 13.90% a year, the simplified input would be 15.29% before tax and fees. A percentage of CDI is not a net return; term, income tax, fees and liquidity still affect the outcome.

FAQ
Does the calculator fetch the current Selic rate?
No. The annual rate is entered manually so you can simulate different return scenarios without depending on an external API.
Does it calculate income tax by Brazil's regressive table?
No. This is a simplified simulation. You enter an average tax rate to estimate the net value.
Does the monthly contribution enter before or after the return?
In this simulation, the contribution enters at the beginning of each month and the estimated monthly return is applied after that.
How do I simulate 100% or 110% of CDI?
Use the annual CDI rate for 100%. For 110% of CDI, multiply that annual rate by 1.10 and enter the result as the annual return.
